Your teenager son or daughter may be hooked on to drugs or alcohol. But it may just be a false intuition. How do you check it out? Or you are simply afraid to face the truth. Knowledge of their teen’s activities has become the biggest challenge of any parent in modern Unites States and the world over. You do not need to bug your child with any unwanted queries or confront him about his whereabouts. Simply observer and you can determine if your child has treaded the forbidden territory.
The first signs to observe are regular missing of school or home work. The teen does not tell as to where he is going or when questioned replies in vague answers as he tries to lie about his whereabouts. Another thing to observer is the change in the activity schedule and the old activities which the child enjoyed earlier are no longer being persuaded or ever there is not replacement of the earlier activities. The teenage starts borrowing money or unexplained loss of valuable articles from home. The teenager looses appetite or starts over eating. You can observe the teen having a total new set of friends. There would be significant change in personality as he tries to not to confront you at any time.
Once you have discovered some or all of these changes in the tens behavior you can be dead sure that something is definitely wrong with your child and this requires immediate attention and any delay will make matters worse. Starting by supervising the activities of your teen on regular basis so that he is not out of sight as far as possible. Instead of confronting the teen, make a plan as to what to speak when you talk to your child. You must make the child aware that you are making the statements based on the observations and not just dreaming. Be sure to give your child a chance to speak up his side of the story and hear it patiently. Then take the necessary corrective action as the situations demand.
